LIVE Life to the Fullest!

Thursday, October 11, 2012

The past few weeks have been some of the most peaceful weeks of my life.  I have spent a lot of time alone and with my family.  I have thought a ton about life, my goals, my future, and also spent a ton of time just being in the present moment.  I have started many projects, (so like me to have a hundred projects at the same time!)   And I have come to the conclusion that it is so important to "trust the process of life"   Things don't happen on accident.  We meet people for reasons, we do things for reasons.  We have a purpose on this earth.  I am excited for this new chapter in my life.  Everyday is a new chapter, I get to write what I want and I am looking forward to what I will write.  I am so grateful for the people who have come into my life and taught me so much about who I am and what I want.  I have been blessed to have amazing people surround me.                                            Heres to life, and the next chapter of mine!!

One of my favorite poems written by my 13 year old Allyson

Where I am From

I am from ballet shoes, from Gambas and Blocks.
I am from the chaos of six kids and the joy it brings.
I am from the roses and all the crazy wild flowers in my grandma's garden.
I am from the cinnamon scent on Christmas and hazel eyes from dad, and fun personality from mom and dad.
I am from extreme adventure, and lots of fun, from "be yourself because life is too short to be anyone else," and
be kind to everyone you meet, because you may not know their story."
I am from the religion of love, service, and never judge another person.
I am from SLC, Utah, veggies and homemade wheat bread,
I am from the family of miracles, and happiness of having our dad with us here today because when he broke his neck he could have died.

I am Allyson Brooke Thomas

Quote of the Week

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass.... It's about learning to DANCE IN THE RAIN!!!!

Quote of the Day

"Two men stood and looked out the prison bars. One saw the dirt, the other saw the stars."

Life is all how you look at it, When we lived in Nevis we would always have so many little things go wrong...Like with the house we were renting, or the black outs at night that would scare me. Or when the stores would all close at 3 or 4 in the afternoon. It went on and on. Living on a tiny island had many trials. John would always say to me..."IT IS ALL PART OF THE EXPERIENCE BABE" That has become our Motto. It is all part of the experience. Life is a grand experience that we learn and grow from if we allow that to happen. Life is beautiful.

Quote of the Month

"Live your life each day as you would climb a mountain. An occasional glance toward the summit keeps the goal in mind, but many beautiful scenes are to be observed from each new vantage point. Climb slowly, steadily, enjoying each passing moment, and the view from the summit will serve as a fitting climax for the journey."
