We recently returned from a very exciting white water rafting trip. My Dad, who has always done this kind of thrilling adventure, sold John very easily on becoming a white water rafting guide!! We bought all the gear and now we are an official white water rafting family. This is not always fun for me because I do have a huge fear respect for these amazing rivers.(This is my Bro and his girlfriends Dianna)
On this trip we went to the Middle Fork of the Salmon River. This is a very fast and wild river with many class 4 and 5 rapids. We went to with all my siblings except Bonnie who is pregnant. And a lot of my 1st cousins and their awesome kids. It was so fun to reunite with these great people and get to know them again.
Some of our adventures on this trip include getting up close and personal with wild life. 3 Bears came into out camp one night and raided our boats that had our food in them. They ripped the cooler lid right off its hinges and ate our dinner and our breakfast for the next day. They left their paw prints all over the boats.
We almost flipped a few times and several people were washed out of their boats on a few rapids.
We hiked to beautiful waterfalls and caves. We would camp at different places each night packing our belongings into our boats in the morning and moving on down the river. It is a lot of work, but worth it.
Spencer is learning to become a guide himself. He loves this stuff and has no fear of it at all.
My Cute Mom and I... She is the most amazing woman in the world and definitely someone I admire more than anyone in the world.
